HELPING VICTIMS OF LEPROSY IN SRI LANKA

SUROL, the Society for Uplift and Rehabilitation of Leprosy Affected People, is an organization based in Sri Lanka. It offers assistance primarily to people with leprosy, but it also works to help children orphaned because of leprosy and those affected in any way by this terrible disease. The Order of Saint Lazarus offers financial support to this institution. THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SOCIAL CANTEEN IN SPAIN

This project, to construct a ‘social canteen’, aims to provide the infrastructure to serve regular hot meals to hundreds of poor people, who suffer poverty or homelessness. The canteen will be erected in the city of Alzira, in partnership with other private companies. HELPING VETERANS IN NEED, UK

The Order of Saint Lazarus is actively working with the organization "Veteran's Aid”. This institution helps British military veterans who, after having served their country often risking their lives, find themselves in need, or in misery living on the street. COLLECTION AND REDISTRIBUTION IN SPAIN

In Spain, the Order of Saint Lazarus collects unsold items, such as clothes, sheets and blankets, toys and even food, from many companies. We ensure that all products are in perfect condition, unused and packaged. They are redistributed to the poor in the region of Valencia. CONSTRUCTION OF A HOSPITAL IN BURKINA FASO

This project involves the construction of a 1000 square meter hospital complex, the training of paramedical staff and the creation of a program to increase the awareness of the local population to health care and disease prevention. FIGHTING AGAINST THE ABANDONMENT OF NEWBORNS, USA

This project is to rescue abandoned newborns and to support parents in need and distress. HELPING THE PEOPLE OF AFGHANISTAN

In cooperation with the Czech army, the Grand Priory of Bohemia participates financially and materially in a project to reconstruct a school, to give direct support to the Afghan army and local police, and to help the local population by sending 15 000 first aid kits.
